About West Des Moines
Historic Charm Meets West Side Energy
West Des Moines has both an old side and a new side. Historic Valley Junction grew up as a railroad town, and its Fifth Street is still lined with local shops, restaurants and seasonal events. Further west, Jordan Creek Town Center and the busy business corridors keep the city moving.
When it's time to slow down, families head to Raccoon River Park for the lake, the trails and the wide-open green space. It's a city that works hard and plays hard, and it deserves a dinner that keeps up.
